PUGLIA

Puglia embodies the essence of pure Mediterranean for its monumental simplicity.
Foreigners are just a simply anecdote in this southeastern region of Italy whose most important symbol is the Salento peninsula, the popular "boot heel".

In addition, the region is rich in an ancient legacy given by people who lived there in the past, like the farmers who have built the “trulli” five centuries ago.

Aleatico

Its 'a vine remote cultivation, whose origin is debated. According to some authors, like Trinci (1738), it was introduced in Italy and especially in Puglia, by the Greeks.

Negramaro

The origin of the most important Apulian grape variety name is a source of debate among ampelographers and historians. They discussed in particular the word "bitter" in some spellings detached from "Negro" prefix, which can be referred to the wealth and power of the tannins, features already described by several authors of the IXXth century.

Primitivo di Manduria

Primitivo is placed, with its 9,000 hectares of vineyards, among the top ten varieties grown in Italy. And 'widespread in the province of Taranto, in the area of Gioia del Colle, near Brindisi and in Salento, where you can also find in purity.
