Podere Le Ripi is a small biodynamic winery located in Montalcino (SI) and owned by Francesco Illy. 12 hectares of vineyards divided among Merlot, Syrah and the Sangiovese Grosso for the production of the famous wine Brunello di Montalcino. Francesco's aims are: quality and the respect of an uncontaminated nature. Biodynamic was a inevitable choice to encourage life in the soil, allowing micro-organisms to multiply and creating a rich, nutritious materials for the grapes. The wines become more complex as a result and the plants stay healthy exuding the joy of living.

 To build the “Golden Cellar” more than 750.000 bricks have been manually laid down during a period of 4 years. In the centre the Dome, resembling the Pantheon of Rome and all around a vaulted tunnel enveloping the Dome for circa 2 turns. The cellar is in a continue slope. Fermentation in the highest part, the bottling line as well as the ageing in the lowest one in order to allow us to do all the pourings by gravity, comfortably moving the tanks up and down with a fork lift.

Villa Le Prata was built in the 1860 by Count De’ Vecchi. Later, the house became the country home of the Bishop of Montalcino. Massimo Losappio and his wife, Marialuce, acquired the Villa in 1980.
Driven by a passion for wine and the pleasure of sharing the bounty of this land with friends, Prof. Losappio chose to plant the first hectare of vineyard near the Villa, at 500 meters above sea level.
Subsequently, he planted two more vineyards in the area of Castelnuovo Dell’Abate, at 200 and 250 meters above sea level.
These three vineyards in three different areas create the perfect combination of aromas and perfumes offered by the altitude and the body and structure found only in this land south of Montalcino.
We currently produce 15,000 bottles of Brunello di Montalcino, 5000 of Rosso di Montalcino and only in the best vintages, 600 bottles of Brunello di Montalcino Selection / Reserve "Massimo".

Sassodisole winery is a family own business. It is situated in a peculiar area within north-eastern side of Montalcino council and the Natural Artistic Park of Orcia’s Valley, which has been recently nominated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The 8 ha vineyard is located 300 metres above the sea level and it is south and  south-west facing. Native Sangiovese vine constitutes our entire vineyard, which is grown in low cordon sparrows and following the authentic techniques of Montalcino agronomic tradition.Terzuoli family has always wanted to achieve the best quality for its own products according to the key-principles of Montalcino community.
