Our agriturismo offers its guests wellness and tranquility on the spacious sunning patio around the swimming pool in the park that surrounds the old convent.
Montalcino is the ideal location from which to explore the entire region.  This old town in the Val d’Orcia is famous for its vineyards and such renowned fine wines as Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino.

The agriturismo is located in a tranquil spot with stupendous views that go from Mount Amiata to the mountains that dominate the Maremma and slope down into the Ombrone River valley.

The Antica Grancia di Quercecchio is an ancient convent that dates to the 1400s.  Until the late 1700s it was owned by Olivetan Benedictine monks.
 
This cozy Tuscan agriturismo is owned and run by the Salvioni family, and each member is always ready to help guests with information and advice on how to best enjoy Montalcino and the many other highlights of the area.
 
Recently renovated, the old convent now houses eight apartments, each one furnished with care and every modern comfort.
 
The agriturismo is just 10 km from the centre of Montalcino and is part of the Quercecchio estate which makes such renowned wines as Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino grappa made from our own wines.  We also make our own extra-virgin olive oil.
 
The agriturismo is located in a tranquil spot with stupendous views that go from Mount Amiata to the mountains that dominate the Maremma and slope down into the Ombrone River valley. 
 
Within just a few kilometers one can explore the beauty of the hills of the Val d’Orcia and the famous Creti Senesi, enjoy the world famous art cities of Siena, Montepulciano and Pienza and take the healing waters at the many spas located in Bagno Vignoni, Chianciano Terme, Bagni di San Filippo and the Bagni di Petriolo.
 
We look forward to welcoming you to our agriturismo in Tuscany, where you will find a warm and friendly family atmosphere and from which you can visit the area’s extraordinary natural beauty and the historic and cultural treasures preserved in the nearby towns and villages.

The ancient Quercecchio convent is located in a peaceful area surrounded by uncontaminated nature and has been lovingly renovated with great attention to detail. Each of the 8 apartments has independent heating and air conditioning as well as sat TV.

Every apartment comes equipped with bed, bath and kitchen linens as well as everything you will need for cooking.

The apartments rent from Saturday to Saturday (7 nights).  When available they can be rented for less time, minimum stay is 3 nights.

Apartment  "Abate"

This suite is 67m² and can host two.  It has two spacious rooms with vaulted-ceilings, bathroom with tub and shower and a small cooking corner that blends into the luxurious living room.
The furniture is all in style, great attention has been given to detail and the large windows offer breathtaking views.
The apartment is a perfect blend of modern technology and the wisdom of local craftsmen. 


Apartment "Le Logge"

The name comes from the fact that one part of the apartment faces the building’s inner loggia.
The apartment has a spacious living room with kitchen corner, a double bedroom, one twin-bedded room (which can be made into a double bed) and two bathrooms with shower.
Its well-appointed 61m² can host 4 people.


Apartment "Il Leccio"

This apartment is 35m² and can sleep two people.  It has a living room with kitchen corner, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. 
A centuries-old oak tree stands just outside the bedroom window, its branches providing cool shade.


Apartment "Antica Cucina"

This 88m² apartment is perfect for four people and was also designed with the physically challenged in mind.
It has an elegant living room that was carved out of what was once the ancient kitchen, a large fireplace and kitchen corner. 
There are two spacious double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. 
This apartment was the home of sharecroppers until the late 1970s.


Apartment "Vinsanto"

This 75m² apartment is ideal for four people.
It is called “vinsanto” because it was here in these rooms, before they were restructured, that the grapes for making the typical sweet Tuscan dessert wine were left to age from October to December. 
The apartment boasts a lovely living room with spacious kitchen corner, a large double bedroom with bathroom and  a big twin-bedded room (that can be turned into a double) with bathroom.  The apartment also has a wooden ladder that leads to a meditation/relaxation loft. 


Apartment "I Tetti"

This is one of two attic apartments.  Its 55m² can host three people.
The panoramic windows give onto the rooftops of the building’s inner courtyard.  There is a twin-bedded room, a single room and two bathrooms with shower.  The living room is characteristic and includes a kitchen corner. 


Apartment "Amiata"

This is a 65m² attic suite and can host three people.
From its windows one looks out over the landscape to the summit of Mount Amiata in the distance. 
The apartment has a large living room with kitchen corner, a double bedroom, a single bedroom and two bathrooms with shower. The furniture is all in style. 


Apartment "La Casetta"

This apartment has its own entrance and can host four people in its 54m².  There is a living room with fireplace and kitchen corner, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower.
The furniture here is elegant and in keeping with the ambience.
