Located in the heart of the city, this beautiful flat consists of two rooms in addition to the services, for a total of 55 square meters.

It was recently restored by a famous architect, in order to convert it into the house of the son of the owners of the upper floor, recently moved elsewhere for work. Fully furnished and well equipped with air conditioning and heating system it has a pleasant small balcony overlooking the gardens behind.

The ceilings in vaults, maintain the paintings of the early ‘900, while the floors were made of precious Venetian stone mixed with “yellow marble of Siena” as well as the same marble was used for the kitchen hob. The walls of the apartment are finished in stucco

The main gateway, on the road, opens onto a large living area that divides the bedroom from the services and houses a comfortable sofa bed.

Lights in the bedroom are of Artemide and the head of the bed (furnished with comfortable mattresses memorex) is of the famous Sienese architect of the early’ 800 Agostino Fantastici, as well as the stools of the living area characterized by an elegant crystal chandelier and applique Floss.

The services, bathroom and dressing, are accessible from the living area with a door in the wall and are separated from each other and from the kitchenette. This one has custom-built marine plywood furniture, with a set of pocket doors coated of mirror while the kitchen leads to the dining area with a silver door full height.

Area Information: This beautiful apartment is located just 5 minutes walking to Piazza del Campo,Siena’s heart, known worldwide for the famous Palio that takes place two times every summer. Movie audiences worldwide can see Siena and the Palio in the James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace.The Campo is dominated by the red Palazzo Pubblico and its tower, Torre del Mangia. Along with the Duomo of Siena, the Palazzo Pubblico was also built during the same period of rule by the Council of Nine. The civic palace, built between 1297 and 1310, still houses the city’s municipal offices much like Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. Its internal courtyard has entrances to the Torre del Mangia and to the Civic Museum. If you feel energetic, a climb up the over 500 steps will reward you with a wonderful view of Siena and its surroundings. The Museum, on the other hand, offers some of the greatest of Sienese paintings. The Sala del Concistoro houses one of Domenico Beccafumi’s best works, ceiling frescoes of allegories on the virtues of Siena’s medieval government. But it is the Sala del Mappamondo and the Sale della Pace that hold the palaces’s highlights: Simone Martini’s huge Maestà and Equestrian Portrait of Guidoriccio da Fogliano and Ambrogio Lorenzetti’s Allegories of Good and Bad Government, once considered the most important cycle of secular paintings of the Middle Ages.
